Our Partners

We use constructive collaboration approach to find solutions to local and global problems that disproportionately impact women in particular, poverty.

We are carefully developing local and international partnerships to join the international community in promoting and working towards the achievement of the Millennium Development Goals (MDG) by 2015.

The 8 MDGs are:

  • Eradicating extreme hunger and poverty
  • Achieving universal primary education
  • Promoting gender equality and the empowerment of women
  • Reducing child mortality
  • Improving maternal health
  • Combating HIV/ AIDS, malaria and other diseases
  • Ensuring environmental sustainability
  • Developing a global partnership for development



 
The President of the African Women’s Council of Australia met with African Women Diplomats in Canberra, on 8 Sept 2011, where they discussed ways of working together on promoting gender equality and empowerment of women in Australia and in Africa.
